The Adoption Process

It is easy for an expectant mother to feel confused or overwhelmed because there are so many things to consider and difficult choices to make. That's why we're here to help. We want to provide understanding about the adoption process and all the options so a birth mother can make choices that are right for her.

Did You Know?

Only 40% of teen moms finish high school.
Of those who have a baby before age 18, less than 2% of teen mothers finish college by the age of 30.

Over the course of a lifetime, a college graduate will earn, on average, $1 million more than a high school dropout. Over the course of his or her lifetime, a single high school dropout costs the nation approximately $260,000 in lost earnings, taxes, and productivity.

Statistics to Consider

In 2010, there were approximately 189,000 girls between ages 15-17 who became pregnant. Their pregnancy rate was 30.1 per 1,000 in 2010, reflecting a 59% decline since 1990 and an 18% decline since 2008.
